– VOOI, backed by Changpeng Zhao’s family office YZi Labs, has amassed a cumulative cryptocurrency trading volume of $8.4 billion since last spring.

The new version of the platform uses OneBalance’s blockchain abstraction tools to remove the concepts of blockchain, bridges or native gas commissions.

Will K., founder of Symbiosis.Finance, which is backed by Binance, unveiled a new version of the decentralized exchange VOOI on Tuesday. VOOI V2 is designed to remove the need for wallets, bridges and multiple trading interfaces, which have traditionally been barriers for retail users to start trading, according to a statement.

With V2, we’ve created a decentralized platform that combines cross-network spot and perpetual trading, providing seamless liquidity without gimmicks or incentives… Instead of adding an additional layer of DeFi, we removed one, setting a new standard for access to DeFi for everyone.

VOOI is backed by Changpeng Zhao’s family office YZi Labs (formerly Binance Labs). According to DeFi Llama, this perps-focused platform has reached a cumulative volume of $8.4 billion since its launch in May 2024. The platform positions itself as

offering aggregated access to multiple perpetual exchanges, including Hyperliquid, Orderly and SynFutures, through a single trading terminal. The company has partnered with OneBalance and will integrate OneBalance’s chain abstraction tools to remove the concepts of chain, bridges or gas commissions, the company announced earlier.
