📌 One of Bitcoin’s pioneers, Eric Voorhees, purchases over 23,000 ETH as Etherium reaches a six-week peak.
According to Lookonchain analytics, one of Bitcoin’s early adopters and creator of ShapeShift, Eric Voorhees, has resumed buying Ether after a year of downtime. Statistics showed that Voorhees spent USDT 49.08 million to purchase 23,393 ETH with an average price of USD 2,098 through two accounts. He also has an untouched balance of 35.25 million USDT.
The organization also clarified that a year earlier, he sold 12,886 ETH when the value of Ether was hovering around the $3,320 mark.
Lookonchain noted that other major investors have been following Voorhees in increasing their Ether holdings. An account associated with one of the pioneers of Ethereum, billΞ.eth, spent $17.46 million to purchase 7,769 ETH at an average price of $2,248 on Monday. On the same day, another major player identified as wallet 0x743d purchased 1,827 ETH worth $3.79 million. Over the past four days, the same whale has invested $24.79 million to acquire 11,985 ETH at an average price of $2,068.
The renewed focus on accumulation comes amid growing interest from institutional players in the asset. Information on spot Ethereum ETFs indicates increased investor engagement. Over the past week, these funds recorded a total inflow of funds exceeding 160 million dollars. During this period, four trading days saw positive capital inflow, and only one day saw a net outflow.
On the other hand, Vitalik Buterin reduced some of his ether savings earlier this year. The Ethereum co-founder realized more Ether than he originally planned. Earlier, Buterin announced his intention to sell 16,384 ETH, but information from the blockchain revealed that the total amount realized reached 18,684 ETH.
