ARK Invest CEO Katie Wood is convinced: We’re still in a bull market for bitcoin.

An experienced fund manager, Wood is a dedicated bitcoin supporter and has previously predicted that BTC could exceed $1.5 million. Her company, ARK Invest, owns shares in cryptocurrencies such as Coinbase (Nasdaq: COIN), Circle (Nasdaq: CRCL) and Robinhood (Nasdaq: HOOD).

On July 3, Wood took part in ARK’s “In The Know” YouTube show, where she shared her opinion on the recent bitcoin price movement.

According to Wood, bitcoin has been showing signs of growth lately and is behaving like a risky asset. More people are looking to hold BTC alongside gold, especially during times of market turmoil, she added.

ARK Invest’s CEO also emphasized bitcoin’s resilience amid recent crises, such as the tariff hikes announced by President Donald Trump on what is known as

“Emancipation Day”

on April 2, and the U.S. bombing of Iran’s nuclear facilities on June 21.

Trump’s tariff policy caused bitcoin’s price to drop from $85,180.61 on April 2 to $76,273.56 on April 9, until he slapped all tariffs except those on China. Soon, on April 13, the cryptocurrency reached its pre-April 2 level.

More than a month later, bitcoin hit a new all-time high (ATH) of $111,970.17 on May 22.

Although bitcoin fell below $99,000 on June 22 during the conflict between the U.S., Israel and Iran, it quickly rose above $105,000 on June 24.

Bitcoin has really held its own, Wood said. I think that’s a very, very positive thing.
