📌 Sharplink repurchased 10,000 ETH and acquired 2.13 million SBET shares as part of its latest share buyback program | The Block
– On Tuesday, Sharplink announced the purchase of 10,000 ETH and an additional share buyback under its current buyback program, increasing one of the largest corporate Ether reserves on public markets.
The Miami-based company reported that the latest transaction brought its total Ether holdings to 886,725 ETH as of June 28. The purchase was made at an average price of $1,611 per ETH, which, as stated in the companys announcement, corresponds to a transaction value of approximately $16.1 million.
This announcement marks Sharplinks first publicly confirmed Ether purchase in the past eight months. Last week, on-chain data analyst EmberCN reported that the company had purchased 5,000 ETH via FalconX, citing data from Arkham, although Sharplink did not confirm the transaction at the time.
Sharplink noted that its latest acquisitions demonstrate the companys unwavering commitment to increasing its ETH holdings as a long-term reserve asset.
The company also announced the repurchase of 2,132,773 shares of its common stock on the open market at an average price of $4.69 per share. With this purchase, the total number of shares repurchased by the company since the program began in August 2025 has reached 4,071,223 shares.
This announcement followed the completion of a $75 million registered private placement of common stock and warrants during the week ending June 28.
The successful completion of our $75 million registered private placement last week strengthened our balance sheet and provided capital to support our active treasury management strategy in ETH, said Sharplink CEO Joseph Chalom. Our capital allocation philosophy is disciplined and simple: every financing decision we make is based on the long-term goal of increasing the amount of ETH per share.
